Who They Are

The National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color Network supports queer and trans people of color and QTBIPOC mental health practitioners. Its public Mental Health Directory connects people with participating practitioners.

What They Provide

The directory allows users to locate participating mental health practitioners. NQTTCN separately operates a Mental Health Fund when funding cycles are open. The directory itself is a navigation service and does not provide therapy directly.

Who They Help

The directory is designed for people looking for QTBIPOC mental health practitioners. Directory membership is reserved for practitioners who meet NQTTCN's stated identity and professional criteria, including licensed, pre licensed and certified practitioners.

Where Services Are Available

The directory includes practitioners across the United States. Actual treatment availability depends on each practitioner's state licensure, service model and current openings.

Cost & Payment

Therapy prices, insurance participation and sliding scale arrangements are determined by individual practitioners. The separate 2026 Mental Health Fund offered eligible selected participants support for up to eight sessions at up to $150 per session, but that application period closed in July 2026.

How to Get Help

Search NQTTCN's Mental Health Directory for a practitioner who appears to fit your needs. Review the provider's location, credentials and contact information, then ask the provider directly about licensure in your state, availability, fees, insurance and privacy practices.

Hours & Response Expectations

The directory is self service and available online. Provider response time, appointment availability and waiting lists vary by independent practice.

Accessibility

Online directory access is national. Language, disability accommodations, telehealth availability and communication access vary by practitioner and should be confirmed directly.

Documented Accomplishments

NQTTCN's current directory includes more than 350 psychotherapists. This provider count is a measure of directory reach, not a guarantee of appointment availability or treatment effectiveness.

Important Limitations

NQTTCN is not the treating clinician. Licensure, mandated reporting duties, HIPAA obligations, fees and clinical privacy practices may differ among practitioners. The 2026 Mental Health Fund should not be advertised as currently accepting applications.
