Who They Are

Alliance of Hope for Suicide Loss Survivors is a nonprofit created to support people grieving the suicide death of someone they love.

What They Provide

Its primary service is a free online suicide loss forum supervised by a mental health professional and moderated by trained suicide loss survivors. Alliance of Hope also offers grief education, selected facilitated groups, healing emails and professional consultations.

Who They Help

The community is for people affected by the suicide death of a loved one. Some specialized groups or consultations have additional relationship or age requirements.

Where Services Are Available

The online forum and many educational resources are available nationally and beyond. Specialized programs may have separate enrollment rules.

Cost & Payment

The main online forum is free. Other services, including some professional consultations or specialized programs, may have different costs and should be checked individually.

How to Get Help

Visit the Community Forum page and follow the instructions to join or read the community. You can also use the Find Support section to locate specialized groups, consultations and grief resources.

Hours & Response Expectations

The online forum can be accessed at any time, but it functions like an online peer community rather than a continuously staffed live counseling service. Immediate responses are not guaranteed.

Accessibility

Online access makes the primary forum available regardless of location. Specific disability and language accommodations for specialized services should be confirmed directly.

Documented Accomplishments

Alliance of Hope reports more than 28,000 members and hundreds of thousands of posts in its suicide loss community. These are participation figures and do not establish a clinical treatment outcome.

Important Limitations

The forum is peer support, not emergency crisis care or psychotherapy. Online peer communities cannot guarantee that another member will never repeat information shared by participants. Alliance of Hope directs people needing immediate suicide crisis assistance to 988.
